The primary mission of the Bicycle  Africa is to offer bicycle tours that minimize negative environmental impacts, provides a broadly educational and enriching experience and supports the local economy – not constrained to the tourism infrastructure.

Since 1983 Bicycle Africa has been organizing unique bicycle programs / cultural immersion educational tours / heritage holidays.  Now-a-days it might be called eco-tourism but our programs are really quite different from the majority of the programs that have cooped this label. Among the things that distinguish us from most other programs is our dedication to small groups, cross-cultural contact, educational enrichment, celebrating and exploring diversity, and environment preserving and economically responsible policies and practices from publicity to productBicycle Africa provides an super opportunity for average people who can handle a moderate level of adventure and want to learn more about complexity and diversity of Africa.

Due to media reports on problem spots in Africa, perhaps you are a bit hesitant to bicycle there. As a responsible company specializing in Africa, we would like to ease your mind. While Africa is not without its problems, we are very selective about where and when we travel. The general information on Africa misrepresents how safe, serene and welcoming the continent as a whole has been and continues to be.
