Thank you for your interest in Ibike. It is a very unique program. The following information will help you to better understand and sell our program.

Because of the unique nature of ibike, participants need to understand the program clearly. Many participants find the programs to be incredible experiences full of memorable events. On many trips 30-50% have been repeat customers. Frequently our clients develop lasting friendships with other members of the program and the local people they meet. Conversely, misunderstanding the nature of the program has lead to unfulfilled expectations. Please study the website information carefully so that you can advise your clients on the program best suited for them.

The focus of the program is on the people and activities of society, not the lodges, game parks, and beaches, though we enjoy these too. While the program is doable by wide range of very ordinary active people and conditions are not "hardship," participants must be open to the different values, attitudes and cultures and some limits on creature comforts. Note that to keep the programs interesting and to minimize its impact on any one area our programs shift from year-to-year.

A few facts: Past participants have ranged from nine to 80. Our "average" client is a women in her forties. Many clients have never done extensive bicycling, never been to a non-western country and never taken a group tour before. They want to see the destination and figured Ibike's cultural immersion programs are the best way to do it. They are right.

We offer a flat US$80 commission for each program sold by a recognized travel agent. Depending upon the availability of the staff, we are willing to arrange custom itineraries and exclusive departures for individuals and groups wishing such.

At present, we do not offer familiarization tours to travel agents or travel industry personnel.

At your request we would be happy to supply you with brochures. But do to the way people gather information these days (and to conserve trees) we have much more information on our website than we print in the very modest brochure.
