These are "bush ambulance" at Katate Mission Hospital.  Similar 

ambulances are at clinics, hospitals and villages in various parts 

of the country.  At any time of day, when someone needs one, such 

as when a woman goes into labor, they can be fetched and used.  

Katete says it bush ambulances are used frequently.  The ambulances 

are also designed so that they can be pulled by a bicycles, but in 

areas with hilly terrain this is rarely done.
