  Registration Instructions
 

Thank you for your interest in our programs. We hope that you find it unique, fascinating and informative.

To registration you need to complete the following tasks:

  1. Participant Registration Form: submit the electronic version (easiest and quickest) or send the pdf version (save, complete and email, or print, complete and mail.)
  2. Personal Health Review: submit the electronic version (easiest and quickest) or send the pdf version (save, complete and email, or print, complete and mail.)
  3. Make a non-refundable deposit of US$400. You can make the deposit by sending a by check (to: International Bicycle Fund, 4887 Columbia Dr S, Seattle WA 98108 USA) (zero transaction fee for IBF), through PayPal (fast, with modest transaction fee), or through IBF's account at Network for Good (delayed payment and highest transaction fee). When you make your deposit, make sure that you include your name and contact information (mailing address, email address, phone number), the name and date of the program you want to participate on.
  4. General Terms and Conditions: If you have not already done so, please read this.
  5. Waiver Form (pdf): IF you are NOT completing the electronic version, please print the form, sign and mail to IBF.

If you don't want to use the documents on the Internet, we can email the document to you as attachments or we will snail mail you a packet with the document, per your instructions.  

Pre-Departure Materials

When your registration is complete, you will get the program pre-departure packet. This contains information on: air travel, tourist cards (visa), bicycles, selecting personal equipment, health information, preparing for the cross-cultural experience, procedures for paying the balance, books to read, etc.  If you would like to get started, there is a bibliography at www.ibike.org/bibliography/cuba.htm.

The program packet should answer most of your questions. Others have found it to be very helpful. If after you receive the packet you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us.

A portion of the fee is tax-deductible, to extent allowed by law, for U.S. citizens.

Travel insurance (trip cancellation/interruption, medical expenses, medical evacuation, baggage, travel assistance etc.) is recommended.  It protects you from the date of purchased so it also is worth considering early on.

Please return the forms as soon as possible so that we can complete your registration and you will have maximum time to prepare.
